Workshop - Join Us &/or Host your Own
Conflict: The Roadmap to Peace 2024

Our Complimentary Workshop

Each year, we celebrate Conflict Resolution day by hosting a complimentary workshop (virtual).  Our topic for 2024 is Conflict: The Roadmap to Peace. The workshop will be held on October 17. Register Here!

Have you ever heard someone caution you not to discuss politics, religion, or other sensitive topics publicly? It’s true that these topics can inflame passions and even lead to conflict. This being said, these topics are important to people, and avoiding them can result in rifts and schisms in our social fabric leading to complex conflicts within ourselves, between people, or within groups. Rather than avoiding important topics, there is a better way to engage in a dialog that maintains respect, dignity and relationships. This year, we’re going learn how to:
  • identify a situation or a circumstance that may lead or has led to a conflict and understand the elements
  • using a tool, you will understand your conflict style and how it can affect the conflict outcome
  • prepare and practice for a difficult conversation
  • define next steps and follow up as needed (resolve manage, or mitigate)
With these skills, you’ll have a new understanding. This interactive workshop is an opportunity for collaboration and collective learning with a focus on peace.

Note: The materials presented on Conflict Resolution day are intended for adults, however, they can be adapted for use of all ages.
